MV Wilson Dvina

20th April 2026 – Recycling Scrap Shipment Successfully Completed from Port of Brightlingsea

A shipment of steel scrap has been successfully loaded and dispatched from the Port of Brightlingsea, marking another successful operation completed by Uniconnection Chartering and Ships Agency Limited.

The vessel MV Wilson Dvina was fixed for transporting a combined cargo of approximately 2,500 mts of steel scrap, consisting of two seperate grades. The operation was managed by Uniconnection Chartering & Ship’s Agency Limited, which oversaw Chartering and Port Agency services for the voyage.

The vessel arrived and was secured alongside the quay before loading operations commenced.  Work proceeded in stages, with a temporary halt at the end of the first day before resuming and ultimately completing the loading process.

Following completion, port formalities were finalised and the vessel departed as scheduled, setting course for Ferrol, Spain. Draft surveys were conducted prior to departure to confirm cargo weight and vessel stability, indicating normal operating conditions.

The shipment reflects ongoing demand for recycled steel materials across European markets, with maritime transport continuing to play a key role in facilitating bulk commodity trade between the United Kingdom and continental ports.

We would like to offer a big thanks to Captain Mariusz Drozgowski and his crew for their extend help.  Working along side with the Stevedores with both sets making this a very smooth operation.
