M/V Westewind Successfully Completes Cement Cargo Discharge at Port Brightlingsea

Brightlingsea, United Kingdom – 2 December 2025 — Uniconnection Chartering & Ship’s Agency Limited is pleased to report the successful port call and discharge operations of the vessel M/V Westewind at the Port of Brightlingsea, following the loading of a BB cement leaving from Figueira da Foz, Portugal on the 27 November 2025.

The vessel arrived off Brightlingsea on 2 December 2025 at 0825 hours, with the pilot boarding at the No. 9 buoy. She was all fast and tendered Notice of Readiness at 09:05 hours, and discharge operations commenced promptly at 0915 hours.

The discharge of 1,467 BB of cement was completed efficiently at 1235 hours the same day, reflecting strong coordination between ship and shore teams. Upon completion, the vessel shifted along the quay, manoeuvred at the quay end, and sailed at 21:20 hours. Excellent work by the stevedores once again.
