MV RDJ WAALSTROOM Completes Steel Scrap Loading at Brightlingsea and Departs for Portugal

Brightlingsea, United Kingdom – 27 December 2025 —
Uniconnection Chartering & Ship’s Agency Limited confirms the successful completion of cargo operations and departure of the MV RDJ WAALSTROOM (IMO 9248370) following loading at the Port of Brightlingsea.

The vessel loaded a total of 2,310.752 metric tonnes of cargo, comprising 1,741.472 mts of steel scrap and 569.280 mts of carbon steel turnings, destined for Setúbal–Lisbon, Portugal. Cargo operations commenced on 22 December 2025 and were completed on 23 December 2025.  Fantastic work by the stevedores for their swift completion.

Due to adverse weather conditions, sailing was postponed in consultation with pilots and harbour authorities. The MV RDJ WAALSTROOM successfully departed Brightlingsea on 27 December 2025 at 16:25 hours, following pilotage at HW.
