M/V MAESTRO Completes Scrap Cargo Operation at Port Brightlingsea

Brightlingsea, United Kingdom – 24 January 2026

Uniconnection Chartering & Ship’s Agency Limited is pleased to confirm the successful completion of cargo operations for the M/V MAESTRO at the Port of Brightlingsea, following a short weather-related delay.

The vessel loaded a total of 2,600 mts tonnes of scrap cargo, comprising 2,100 metric tonnes of HMS scrap and 500 mts tonnes of steel turnings, under a charter party dated 16 January 2026. Stevedoring was again top class and a swift and smooth loading commenced and completed in excellent timing, with weather and tidal conditions it was important to use the time constructively and this well well achieved but the expert team.

Adverse weather conditions between 20 and 22 January resulted in a temporary suspension of pilotage, during which time the vessel remained safely anchored at NW Knoll. Pilotage services resumed on 23 January, allowing the vessel to proceed to berth and complete loading operations efficiently within the same day.

The M/V MAESTRO was made all fast starboard side alongside the quay during the early hours of 23 January, with loading commencing at 0700 hrs and completing at 1600 hrs.
